I will be showing at a new gallery in St. Petersburg on September 11, 2010. This is the inaugural show for this gallery. I will be showing some of my new work as well as a few pieces that have shown once here in St. Pete. The other artists in the show are heavy hitters in my view. It promises to be a good show.

I was invited to participate in a show at the Roundhouse Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida. The the title of the show was, “For Corners”. They invited four artists to each take a corner of the gallery and create an installation of their choosing. I was showing with three other artists whose work I respected so I figured I would bring my “A” game. I made an entire room made only of plywood. Everything was to scale, no paint, no stain. My idea was to explore the things we encounter every day as simply shapes. Our posessions distilled down to the space they took up. To discard the functions of these objects and see them as things with a spacial boundary.

The wine wall at LaFogata Brazilian Churascaria spans the entire back wall of the restaurant. It holds over one hundred bottles of wine. The wine bottles are backlit and the back cavity is ventilated to channel out any heat caused by the lights.
