Public

I was selected by the Pinellas County Public Arts Council to create art for the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center. I did extensive employee interviews to get a feel for the type of people who worked there. After all, the building is just a box or a series of boxes. The dedicated professionals are what makes the center what it is. I went in to the interviews and was impressed and inspired by the dedication and professionalism that they dispayed. The were honest and open and generous. They are what make these pieces so special. I took a thumbprint from employees who wished to participate. I kept them anonymous and drew one from a box. On the main piece the six foot tall thumbprint is from one of the employees. That print is just a small contribution to the work when compared to the generousity and honesty of the staff.
